I have been Reflecting on the fact: When we hear, see, know and live by the WORD; we are actually hearing, seeing, knowing and living by God himself. God is ONE yet He is more; He is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. He existed in the beginning with God. 3God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
God has always existed; He exist as God the Father, God the son and the Holy Spirit. They are all GOD, yet they are also three distinct beings. We see in the above verses that the Word has always existed; the word is God and was with God. We read on, and it says that the word brought life, this life was the light to men.
9The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. 14 So the Word became human[d] and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.[e]And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. 15John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’” 16 From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.[f]17 For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. (the WORD, God himself) 18 No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God,[g]is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. 19 This was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Temple assistants[h] from Jerusalem to ask John, “Who are you?” 20He came right out and said, “I am not the Messiah.” 21“Well then, who are you?” they asked. “Are you Elijah?” “No,” he replied. “Are you the Prophet we are expecting?”[i] “No.” 22“Then who are you? We need an answer for those who sent us. What do you have to say about yourself?” 23John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah: “I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Clear the way for the Lord’s coming!’”[j] ~~John 1 (NLT)( The same scripture in the NASB and AMP are HERE ) ~~~~~~If people believe in this light than they can become children of God. This light that was the Word actually became human. The one who became human was Jesus, God the Son, He is God himself. He, Jesus, is close to God’s heart and He shows us God the Father. They are separate but yet they are ONE. When we look at the Son that became human, we see that God became human. When we see that Jesus willingly gave up His life, we see that in fact God willingly gave up part of himself; which had to be born as flesh, so that He could one day die for His creation so that they might truly live.
26God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.(D) 27So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. Gen. 1 (Amp)The Word is God and has always been, The Word is Jesus and has always been, Jesus is God and has always been, God is Jesus and has always been. We see from the very beginning God was one but He is three; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God made humans, His creation in the image of Himself which is one but yet three. Again from the beginning God revealed himself as ONE yet more than one. He did not keep this a secret, when in scripture God reveals himself as one, that is truth but does not change the fact that He is also more than one.
18 A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. Luke 18 (NASB)When Jesus as flesh, but yet still God ask why this man calls Him good and reminds him that no one is good except God. He wasn’t saying that He wasn’t good and He wasn’t saying He was not God. I truly believe He was making a statement to get this man (and any others present), to really look at Him, to really listen to Him and to really think about who the man was talking to and why the man was motivated to call Him good. I believe Jesus wanted the man to think about who Jesus had said He was and who Jesus looked like. Jesus said it himself ” I AM”, He said when you see me you see the father, not because of a little resemblance but because He is God himself.
58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 8 ~~~~ 3He (Jesus) is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the [c]out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,So when we are reading scripture; in the old or the New Covenant and we see something like ” the word of the Lord came”, ” I will put my words”, “by the word”, “He sent His word” and “the word og God is”; we can understand that the represents Jesus who is the word, has always existed, was with God and who is God. Whether God the Father is speaking, God the Son (Jesus) is speaking or the Holy Spirit is moving; we can understand that they are all God but yet God is still one. When we praise the Father we do not forget the Son, When we consider Jesus the son, we know that doesn’t take away from the father. When we know we are living by the Power of the Spirit, we know it’s God’s power. When we read the Word; we can know that we are beholding God himself, because In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God!! So let us say, believe and live what David spoke Your word I have treasured in my heart, Ps. 119:11a
