And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth. John 1:14
Where have I seen Jesus this season? The answer is where haven’t I seen Jesus. HE is all over this season. HE is in our tree pointing up towards His father. HE is in the three points to our tree that remind us of GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON and GOD the HOLY SPIRIT. HE is in the evergreen branches that remind us HIS love never fails and never ends. HE is in our daily Jesse Tree devotions that teach us the family tree we have through HIM. HE is in the daily journey we travel with Jotham (Advent story book). HE is in our evening Advent devotions as we sing of the amazing fact that GOD himself became flesh, became the most vulnerable being; a baby. HE grew, He learned to talk, to crawl, to walk and HE, “God” Himself actually walked with us; HIS creation. HE is in our daily prayers. HE is in our gift giving; to each other and to those out there that are most needy. HE is in our prayers for healing; and in our recovery. HE is in the cooking of food that was taken to the funeral home. HE is in the prayers and words of comfort that go out to a family that has experienced a terrible tragedy. HE is in the hug of my children. HE is in the time spent with my boys making cards and gifts for family members. HE is in the Drummer Boy and in a Charlie Brown Christmas. HE is in our joy, and our celebrating. HE is in the lighting of candles, and in the making of a birthday cake for HIM. HE is in our memory of Christmas past and loved ones that have gone on to be with Him. HE is in our family dinner’s, our Church parties and play’s. HE is in the music, the song, and the Word brought forth. HE is in a group of women who listened to one who is hurting and allowed HIM to love on that one through them. HE is in our laughter, and in our repentance. HE is in the very cheap but precious Nativity that I have had since my first Christmas with my husband. HE is in the cross that sits beside the nativity made by my husband that reminds us why JESUS was made flesh. HE is in the wee little white tree that sits beside that cross and the Nativity that will be adorned with our 12 day of Christmas ornaments that remind us that HE is; the Bread of Life, Light of the world, Living Water and so much More. HE is in the baking of cookies that will be given to local firemen, policemen and our sweet librarians. HE is in the Shoe Boxes we packed and sent to Samaritan’s Purse so they could send them to HIS dear children around the world. HE is in our waiting, in our hearts, in this season, and HE IS this SEASON!!!! Thank the FATHER HE is also in every other season of our life if we only let HIM in and let HIM stay!!!!
So where do you see Jesus in the Christmas Season?
Go see where others have seen Jesus this season!!
