“How can we gain this Habit?”
By abiding in HIM and HIS word!! That is daily abiding in HIM! This habit may not come over night (certainly hasn’t for me) BUT by the grace of God it is coming!!!
1. Daily Seek God by prayer and reading His word
2. Cry out to Him in the ‘moment’ you know you could ‘lose it”
3. Hold on to a specific scripture throughout the day, repeating it over and over
4. Offer up ‘Thanks’ to God in the moment you know you could “lose it”
5. Have a running conversation with Him through the day
6. Play Christian music during your day
7. Listen to the Word during your day (Audio)
Below is some WORD to abide in.
1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;[a] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[b] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15
Ephesians 4:29Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it.
